Government failed the people. They had no plan already set up for the hard hit regions, in case some of these hard heads don't listen to the governor and leave the city on time. Give me a break! Some are saying no one thought it will be like this!! No sh*t. Air drop the food, water, and help all these people on top of the roofs. The dead must be moved, before diseases become common. Sad to see, the poorest states hit like this. The military should have been called weeks ago to stop the looting, and help the evacuation. Now they are calling for the military, but this will take almost another week or so before they will be able to start working in 100%. Media not doing good, mentioning that these areas are the poorest of the poor, and rest of the nation are watching like a movie, not doing enough. U see many blacks on these tv shots, and it's beyond me how strong these people are. Stay straped people, your our finest blacks. Please help as much as U can they need us now. God help their souls.

I have my nephew who wanted to leave the city a day before, but some how didn't and we don't know if he made it out or not. Pray for him and the rest.

The evilness of Right wing America................

I have said many times, the right wings hate America. They will make every nation on earth our enemies, and the enemies of every peace loving human being. We shouldn't stand still, but should speak against them, including the president who thinks and acts like most of them. Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said "take him out" Who? Assassinate Hugo Chaves!! Yes an elected president of a nation. Yes, he did this while using our own tax and airways to broadcast his hateful speeches. As a Muslim, I have many memories of him, saying many evil things about my religion, but many ignored since the Muslims of today are viewed differently, and got lesser attention on these hate speeches. He said many things about Islamic Religion and get away with it, and this is the result of that. When we watch these men, including Foxck News which spreads such hateful speeches shouldn't be on the air. I hope the FCC does something about him. Please write to "Christian Broadcast Network" and show your disgust with this rat.

Gophers Football............

Is this the year for my beloved gophers, big ten and to the ROSE BOWL!

Glen Mason must win the big ten this year, errrrrrrrr. This is what many seasonal fans are saying. I don't know if we will be able to get a better coach if we let him go, so I'm not one of these saying Mason has to go, if he doesn't win this yr. Looking back where the MN Gophers Football has been since 1967, and what Mason has done since he came here, one can see that Mason has brought respectability to this lowly program, which has been one of the member (Illini, Indiana, Northwestern) big ten teams of last decade. As die hard gophers fan, letting Mason go is out of the question, but changing the seasonal MN fans to die hard fans is what I think should worry those who say mason must win or else, it's also time for some of you calling him to go, to do two things, be a fan(all seasons) or shut the f-up.

P.S Very upset about the new season tickets, they have mis-spelled the great Sandy Stephens name. I don't know if this was done to get an attention to the football program (which they did get it http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/colleges/12353043.htm) which is very sick, or a honest mistake, which is very stupid mistake for a great and special player.

Failing Schools: It's the state, and the STATE......

I went to public high, and hold dearly on what it has done for me, and many of U. I graduated few yrs ago, from suburban high, but went one year to city high school, in Minneapolis, MN. The difference between the two are so great, that I believe the states are failing city schools. U can disagree with me on this, but I as one who has seen the differences, have to blame the state, not the parents, or the student.

In city schools, U must motivate yourself "self teaching to succeed", in suburban high, you are motivated "school system that teaches U/paves the way for you to succeed". It's all about money, and management. All city schools share the common socio-economic grimness, where less educated teachers are hired, less founds are spend on the pupil, runs supreme.

Now as a college student, and voluteer to many city schools, see where this nation has failed, it's city citizens "most of them minorities". U disagree tell me?????
