Greetings from Great State of Minni.......Liberal heart, liberal Mind = is me......My rights never trespass others....My rights stop, where other's rights start....I believe government works for the people, it has to or it ain't a government.
Shocking day today that made me sick and gave me a huge reality check!!!! It seems the homeless in MN has increased twenty-fold.........May be it's the spring, but I have never seen so many of them at each corner in Minneapolis, and around 35W! I was done with my Friday class few hours ago, and driving back, and seeing them every where, makes my day :(

Dem, I thought I would be seeing a rant about our Criminal at the helm, Bush.
Unbelieveable, how the "American People" are not up in arms about this makes me sick.
BUSH leaked the CIA info, UNREAL! I guess he has to "fire" himself now, huh.
Rocket....I have been banging some drums for this president for a while......I don't even know what else that comes from him, that I'm able to take it......
If the courts don't do something about this, US courts will suffer huge for the next 50yrs to come....
Fyi, a large number of the "homeless people" you see standing at the top of the exit ramps on 35W and 35E claiming to be homeless, are not. They have warm beds every night, and hot meals. Where I work, we know them by name. Do they need some help to get back on their feet? Yes, but their situation is not as hard as they make it out to be. I've seen them standing there with signs that say "I only take 20's" and I've seen people drop off a subway sandwich, or some other food, and seen them throw the food onthe ground at the giver's feet.
There is a problem with homelessness in Minnesota, but don't waste your pity on the people standing at freeway exits, they're fine. Worry about the people who are standing in line for the shelter and who are turned away because they've already used their alloted nights for the month, or because the shelter is full. Those are the people who need your help, and yet, they're the ones who aren't asking for it.
Its weird one day i remember going into the city and all of a sudden all these homeless people were sleeping on benches. This was strange as it opened my eyes to a side of Australia i thought did not exist....how naive i was. Its sad coz i really thought no one was homeless in Australia but where ever there is greed there is poverty in the shadow. Ciao
Lauren....Young people like U and me need to make sure he is. We need to get young people vote in elections on this year. If the Dems take over the house, he will be impeached.
Dawn....U work with the homeless? Cool....Yeah I know. Most are there for the beer. I have wrote many times in my school papers supporting MN, and how we deal with the homeless. Even thought, I still think homeless in this country is a shame.
Maria....yeah large cities in the US, are some what homeless heaven....greed, capitalism do create them.....
Dem, I don't work exclusively with the homeless, I work in Social and Human Services for Hennepin County. Which is a really fancy way of saying I hand out welfare. We deal with the homeless when we're handing out shelter vouchers and emergency assistance. But our shelter and EA teams do most of that, which I'm not on. I work in Children and Families.
