Wait 'til the doors open...

"The most effective way to restrict democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: kings and princes, priestly castes, military juntas, party dictatorships, or modern corporations." -chomsky. Rove should read this to Bush...

I watched few mins of Oprah, I have to say Do Not Piss Off Oprah!!!!! Frey( A Million Little peices"Lies")seemed to shrink onstage with Oprah. But U know what, I had more problems with the publisher, an old fart, she thinks any memoir is simply someone's memory, not a serious work of facts that requires the publisher to do their work and do some fact checking...........

Sorry I have been away. I'm Backkkkkkkkkk, hope all of U are doing great..........

Dem, absolutely lovely photods. Glad you're back.

Do you have an interest in checking out a fellow student's blog? He's new to blogging and perhaps you could give him a few pointers and words of wisdom. He is at present interested in politics on a state level but may branch out into national.

You young people are the future of this country and as such, are building your own future through your work and involvement now.

His name is Gerald; blog Liberal Washington. http://liberalwashington.com
He attends Eastern Washington University. If you care to and have time, pop over and check out his blog.

Been reading through your blog here, lots of great posts! I might have to keep an eye on you.

Million little pieces was a good book, but had it been published under the title of fiction it would not have sold. As Oprah would not have picked up up and it would have faded into obsurity.

Dem - I've been incredibly absent over the past few weeks. But I'm back now, and glad to see you are as well.

Reading through some of the posts I've missed...I hope everything is okay with you and your girl. It is so hard to say goodbye to someone you love, even when you know it is for the best. Keep your head up.

Good to have you back, Dem! I hope you're feeling a bit better.
I can't watch Oprah - don't have cable. But I like her, and would have loved to see that episode!

I was disappointed to hear that Frey had told a million little lies in his book. I was looking forward to reading his book too, as I had heard so many wonderful things about it before this debacle. Well, I may still read it and just look at it as a book of fiction rather than an autobiographical account...

That picture is absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful photos. Can't see the issue with Frey and Ophrah. If the book was interesting and moving (wouldn't know, haven't read it) then should it matter if it's 'true'?

James I think it does if U say "These are facts......He sold it to Oprah as such, and book lovers bought it as such......so yeah he should face what he's facing now...
