My vocation has to wait for another few
months..........No time...........May be in spring break.
Got another University Job, this time helping foreign students resettle in MN, and find jobs, get help at Gopherland. Already, met few of them, really excited about this.........
People like Bush and Cheney, who have never served in the military but are so eager to go to war, and send our young people to war, and don't give shit about effects of wars get no respect from me, period. No matter, which party, which group, which one(Yeah U, Joe wingrat Lieberman), you will never get my support if U support this war. All those talking head sh*ts that U see on TV, have one thing in common, they never served in the armed forces, nor know how the families of the 17 soldiers who have dead today feel.
ScAlito Hearings Starts Monday, January 9. My scenario assumes no big surprises or gaffes that will sink him, hoping all Dems vote against him, and get few Repuks to vote with us. Part of the original gang of 14 have to come to our side, if we do that, he wouldn't get there. Call or write to your senators. The Dems have to start to act like who their voters are, Liberals. I'm proud to be Liberal, but not proud of how our elected Dems act.

It's important that you have experience when responsible for thousands of people. It's a shame - BIG shame - that most heads of armies (ie - politicians) have no idea what they are talking about when doing their war-mongering. They don't really understand the reprecussions of war. They haven't felt the meaningless loss of a son fighting for a cause nobody understands...
Barbara Boxer is awesome. So is Barack Obama. I'd like to vote for them both for President one day.
My fear is that ScAlito will be so "letter of the law" that people will forget that he has a conservative agenda and will think he's the best there is and will confirm his nomination. No matter who Bush nominates, the person will be a conservative who will advance the conservative agenda and limit the freedoms and personal liberties of the American people. The Dems can only stall this for so long before they have to give up the fight, unfortunately.
As much as I hate to say it, I think Alito might be okay. Justice Rehnquist was fiercely conservative, while Justice O'Connor is more fair and neutral. John Roberts will be fair and neutral, and Alito will be fiercely conservative. So really we are in the same place as we were before, if Alito gets confirmed.
They better be glad none of my family is in this stupid war though I do have many friends and the one that have came home okay are in thearpy for the things they have seen.
