TWENTY - SOMETHING !!

From 18 to 21 I didn't really felt that different.......Dec 8............Now I'm turning to 22..........I worry about student loans, money, family, graduate school, the future and making a life for myself...........and while winning the race would be great, right now I'd just like to be a contender! Didn't use to worry about them in the past.........My opinions on many things have gotten stronger, I'm leaving the past more and more, while a few yrs ago I was always in denial about the future...........I'm sure all of you can relate to one or two things above.........State of confusion.

That's what happens to all of us, I suppose. It's probably the natural transition from young adulthood to full-fledged adulthood and the realization that the time of responsibilities and obligations is now on our shoulders.

From what I have read, you're already more "adult" than some people much older than you are. You're not as confused as you may believe. :-)

I remember how 21 felt like. I too worried about my students loan. But after a while I just ignored it. Since - as you say - you don't have to start paying back yet. Even now - when I do have to think about my loan - mos of the time I don't. It's a waste of energy most of the time.
It's a mystery how everything just seem to click into place when you most need it. When you're in the situation it seems like nothing will ever be solved. But time goes, you find solutions, and in retrospect one wonders why you worried so much.
My point is - relax. stop worrying so much. I'm not saying you should stay in denial, just loosen up a bit?
you're a sensible young man, and from the little I know of you, you're more grown up (in a good way!!!) than a lot of guys I know who are my age (31..)

I am 28 and have first hand knowledge that the transition to being an indepedent adult is difficult. Try not to let it overwhealm you.

You have a Great site!

I don't feel any different either but it's other people who mention that I'm old... which in turn makes me feel old. So now, I feel like I'm going through a premature-mid life crisis. I'm pretty sure I'll get over it once things settle down with a job and life gets routine. Then I'll really start to freak out.
